Great Falls Park is awesome!
Why?
It's a beautiful series of rugged waterfalls on the Potomac and it's only 15 miles from DC.
And with 800 acres of trails to explore, it's perfect for a Saturday outing.

You can even do a little kayaking.
These guys traversed the lower rapids coming off the falls,
and practiced staying upright and navigating the rough water.
It was a cold, but beautiful day to be outside.
